United by the idea of selfless help and sportsmanship, more than 100 people took part in the “Together reaching the top” run organised by Globalworh Foundation and Ultrakrew. The run to the 35st floor of Warsaw Trade Tower is a unique sporting event held for those who have donated blood or its components throughout the Ultrakrew blood donation summer campaign.
More than 60 liter of blood was collected. A single unit (450 ml) of donated blood can save up to three lives. Potentially 411 blood recipients benefited thanks to the charity run.
„By organizing the “Together reaching the top” run Globalworth Foundation wants to raise public awareness of the need for regular blood donations. Sharing blood is a wonderful gesture and invaluable help in saving human health and life. We are very glad that, as the Globalworth Foundation, we can support and encourage voluntary blood donation”, says Rafał Pomorski, member of the board of the Globalworth Foundation.
The event is part of the nationwide summer edition of the Ultrakrew social blood donation campaign. Its aim is to promote blood donation and collect blood under the slogan Ultrakrew.
