Globalworth delivered the first photovoltaic plant of 0.4MW on the roof of its tenant, Litens Automotive Group

Last month, Globalworth delivered the first photovoltaic plant of 0.4MW on the roof of our tenant, Litens Automotive Group, in Timisoara Industrial Park I.

With the world around us becoming more environmentally aware, there is an increasing focus on the impact of buildings on the environment and finite natural resources.

Our tenants have shown a high interest as well in minimising their own carbon footprints and reduce their overall occupancy costs. As landlords, we consider important for us to own and create buildings that are sustainable in the long term and that use natural resources efficiently.

A few of the most important advantages of using a photovoltaic plant include cost savings, environmental benefits, energy independence, scalability, and long lifespan.

Photovoltaic plants generate electricity from renewable energy sources, such as sunlight, which is clean and does not emit harmful pollutants. This means the photovoltaic plant will also help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality.

By generating their own electricity, businesses can become less dependent on the grid and reduce their vulnerability to power outages and price fluctuations.

A 0.4MW photovoltaic plant is a relatively small installation, which makes it easy to scale up or down as needed. It is a good option for businesses that want to start small and gradually increase their capacity over time.

Photovoltaic panels have a long lifespan, typically lasting between 25 and 30 years. This means that the photovoltaic plant provides a reliable source of energy for many years to come.

As a company, Globalworth has pledged to reduce carbon emissions by more than 40% by 2030 compared to the baseline in 2019. To set these goals we used a science-based approach to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C.
