Ema Iftimie (Head of Leasing) speaks about Globalworth Campus

Ema Iftimie, Head of Leasing at Globalworth, talked with Stirile ProTV, Romania’s leading news program, about the facilities offered by Globalworth Campus, the new headquarters of Amazon in Bucharest.

Ema emphasised the facilities offered to employees, such as coffee shops, restaurants, kindergarten, fitness facilities, swimming pool, running track and a lot of green spaces. All these facilities, provided by Globalworth Campus, will help employees improve their work-life balance.

Located in northern Bucharest, next to Pipera Metro station, Globalworth Campus is a Class “A” office campus development, which, following its completion, will comprise three buildings incorporating the latest technologies.

Phase A of the development project will comprise two towers of approximately 28.5k sqm each. Tower 1, which was completed in June 2017, extends over 12 floors and two underground levels. The project will be complemented by one of Bucharest’s largest conference centres, providing the infrastructure for a continuous learning process for companies and employees alike.

Globalworth Campus is home to Amazon’s headquarters in Bucharest. Until now, Amazon has invested approximately €100 million in Romania in developing latest technologies. Opening an office in Bucharest was a great choice because there are many career opportunities within AWS (Amazon Web Services), especially for software engineers specialised in operating and virtualization systems.
