Maps of Time
An exhibition about the art and science of architecture
Maps of Time, an exhibition about the art and science of architecture
Architecture is the art that shapes the environment we live in and it is the manifestation of human civilisation at a certain period of time. It is a permanent expression of society's ways of thinking and its ideals, and it is a testimony for the generations to come. As Winston Churchill once said: „We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us”.
Architecture is part art and part science. And we are happy when we can support initiatives which once again underline this point. We are a long-time partner of „Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism, which often organises events that bring us closer to the core of architecture.
For the 2018 edition of European Night of Museums, the exhibition Maps of Time was brought to life by the Museum of the School of Architecture, in partnership with the University. The project aimed to redefine the relationship between art and science, to reconstruct the memory of forgotten places. Through augmented reality, the visitors were able to immerse themselves in the world of form and gestures, transforming it in an unforgettable experience.
As a real estate investor, we find it key to support the promotion of architecture and be a partner of one of the most important education institutions in the industry from Romania. This is only one of the events we were partners to and we will keep you posted about the next one.
