EPRA, European Public Real Estate Association, awarded Globalworth, CEE’s Leading Office Landlord, two prizes:

Introduced in 2012, EPRA Sustainability Best Practices Awards widely improve the whole process of making ESG information public and support our industry to respond to the investment community’s demand for greater transparency and accessibility of climate-related information. This year, a total of 152 companies were assessed in the 2020 Awards more than half of EPRA’s membership received an Award for their compliance. These figures highlight how much the standardisation and consistency of sustainability reporting for European listed real estate companies have remained a significant matter.

Focusing on People, Places and Technology, Globalworth invests and creates high-quality sustainable and environmentally friendly real estate spaces, in which people and businesses can flourish. The recognition received by the European Public Real Estate Association for our efforts in 2019, further encourages us to continue to approach the future in a consistent, ethical, safe and environmentally friendly way” Stamatis Sapkas – Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Globalworth

What we did in 2019

In 2019 we continued to operate according to our principles and implementing our strategy. Our portfolio reached another milestone, growing to over €3.0 billion by value, following the acquisition of standing office properties in Poland and further progress with our development program in Romania and Poland. Our environmentally friendly footprint also increased, and by year-end 2019, we had 43 (30 at YE-18) standing green-certified properties, valued at €2.3 billion (€1.6 billion at YE-18) in our portfolio. Our efforts in providing and properly managing high-quality spaces were rewarded by tenants, with 179.5k sqm of commercial space leased across our properties at an average lease length of 5.5 years, marking a record year for the Group.
Overall, as at 31 December 2019, our total contracted rents grew to €191.0 million (€159.5 YE-2018), we had over 1.1 million sqm of commercial GLA leased at an average remaining term of 4.5 years, and an average occupancy of our standing commercial portfolio remaining high at 94.7% (95.0% incl. tenant options).
